What can on, " WOW! This is absolutely stunning, beautiful, creative and an all around incredible piece of craftsmanship! " The color is in my top 3 favorite colors! I also said I am very talented in many creative endeavors and have been spellbound by the art of bookbinding for about 8 years or so when my sister gave me a homemade journal book out of homemade paper with pressed wildflowers in it. It was given to me to write a story or use as a journal. Well...??? I can't bring myself to write in it because it is so beautiful! I am and always been fairly poor but have much stuff to do all kinds of sewing and crafts, just not a big enough space to spread out and create so I am afraid to write in it because I might make a mistake in ink and ruin the whole thing! So I have decided I am going to bind a book of my own one day and then and only then will I write in my gift book! I have never see a page like this one here so I do not know if you have man things you have made but I will soon find out. One question: Did you dye this leather yourself?

Wow, that is impressive.  Do you have to manually press the leather down around the cord, or do you use a special press?  How much would you charge for that type of detail, and do you know if it holds up well over time?

Thank you so much. It is completely handmade, and it holds up perfectly over time: the owner is my friend and he say to me that, despite the use of it, it is perfect.
For the cost, contact me on FB page (facebook.com/lalegatoriadellelfo) or mail (lalegatoriadellelfo@gmail.com)

Amazing work!! Beautiful work, I love the design! I'm really curious about what is used for the reliefs, seems like some kind of "cord"? Thank you!

Brilliant!! Do you mind if I give it a try? I got to do a custom book with vines and leaves running everywhere, and I've been looking at a way to give volume to them! Using cord sound like an easy enough way to do it, and it help keep the natural look of vines!

I have to say. I am taking a book making class for my graphic design study in college for my degree. Honestly this is just stunning and amazing to look at. The amount of time that you had to have put into this is just awesome and really above all, awe inspiring. Amazing work. Keep up the good work! Thanks for sharing this picture with us it really made my night!

Ciao!,

Bravissimo! Uomo!
Peter

btw: I have used google translate for this, I speak english, french and spanish and can understand a lot of italian esp written... but don't know it like the other 3: ie no grammar / vocab etc.. ; but wanted to reply in your language... one should make an effort no? P. :)

Ahahahah Thank you for effort to use the italian language !
I speak only italian and english, and a little bit of elvish Quenya XD

Thank you very very much for your comment. I think that the British Museum is the most, or one of the most important museum for books restoration. And the comparison with who work on this, for me is very important.
Many people look bookbinding like a beautiful thing, but few of them recognize the work behind even one book. So, really thanks :D
